Ethical Fashion. Go Green for Christmas with Prophetik at goat.boutique.

goat. boutique strives to bring you the best and most unique options for projecting yourself to the world.  When we came across Prophetik, we knew right away that this line was different from the others.  Jeff Garner, the man behind the line, has a very interesting and appealing philosophy behind his brand.  We immediately gravitated toward him and resonated with his way of thinking.  Here is a bit on yet another line we love…Prophetik.

The philosophy behind Prophetik goes a little something like this: There is a battle between what is genuine and true vs. what is artificial and effective in the marketplace.  Prophetik strives to be the former and we can assure you that they are.  This brand is not here to be a blind promise of easy fulfillment. Prophetik is about the ongoing search for authentic purpose and meaning in our lives …

Prophetik works very closely with the AEACP, The Asian Elephant Art & Conservation Project. The AEACP is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the diminishing number of Asian elephants left on our planet through its work with domesticated elephants. The AEACP raises funds through donations and the sale of artwork created by elephants in order to fulfill its mission. One of our favorite Prophetik pieces is the “Elle” dress which is painted with the trunks of these elephants. “Our partners at elephant art train the elephants to paint on our organic silk and hemp fabric with their trunks, which we use for the “Elle” dress featured in Lucky magazine and our men’s skinny suit” says Jeff.

“My desire is to not just get people to come to a Charity event or go on a missions or service trip but to be truly engaged with self allowing the heart of giving and serving to lead one in life rather than being another event or feel good moment but a constant, not based on condition. Understanding the heart: When you understand, you cannot help but love. You cannot get angry. To develop understanding, you have to practice looking at all living beings with the eyes of compassion. When you understand, you cannot help but love. And when you love, you naturally act in a way that can relieve the suffering of people.” – Jeff Garner

Prophetik is now available at goat. boutique.

goat. loves…A.L.C.

Andrea Lieberman has dressed some of the most iconic fashionistas of our time, from Gwen Stefani to Jennifer Lopez. Now, she’s branching out with her own line of clothing, A.L.C., which is available at goat. boutique.

The collection is a well-edited mix of extremely versatile pieces.Updated wardrobe essentials (the LBD, trouser, white blouse, evening dress, and T-shirt) in sophisticated, easy shapes; practical colors (black, navy, khaki, gray); and gorgeous Japanese cotton, silk chiffon, twill, and tropical-weight wool are the label’s focus.

When Lieberman announced the line to WWD in September, she said she doesn’t intend to quit her day job. “For me, styling was a great creative outlet,” she said, “because I had the great fortune of working with people who in effect became my muse, and I was able to help them with their image.”

Dressing for the Holidays.

There’s so much pressure and planning that surrounds the holidays.  The best part of the season is-for us anyways- getting ready!  This part of the celebration can quickly turn into a not-so-joyous occasion if A) You don’t know what to wear or B) You don’t have what you want to wear.  We can help you with both.  The goal is to create an outfit that has a little more glitz and glamour than usual and to have fun with your look.

A little cocktail dress, especially one with some shine and sequins, is the quintessential holiday ensemble.  If it will be chilly pair it with opaque tights and a fur wrap to keep you warm!

While we love party dresses, we are also quite keen on the idea of a pair of silky dress pants worn with a sequined top or a sequined blazer with a simple tank or tee.  It’s a little unexpected and we love the unexpected.

Another route you can take is to wear the LBD and glam up your hair and makeup.  We suggest that you try something new with your makeup…like a copper smokey eye or a deep red lip.

Go For: Sequin Skirts, Faux-Fur Jackets, Silk Bottoms, Costume Jewelry, Lace Tights, Dark Red Lips…
